It was a pleasure for James to attend the Leamington Spa Annual Town Assembly, hosted at the iconic Assembly Rooms at the Royal Pump Rooms, where James had the opportunity to discuss with residents plans for Leamington’s Transformation.
James enjoyed listening to the update from the Town Council, which reported on the community projects its grant funding had assisted, as well as a pivotal presentation by LDA Design, a renowned urban design consultancy appointed to spearhead the development of an updated vision for the town centre. Attendees had the opportunity to gain invaluable insights and contribute to the discourse surrounding future options for the Parade, a cherished focal point of Leamington Spa's cultural heritage.
The assembly served as a superb occasion for residents to come together, share their perspectives, and collectively envision a future that embodies the essence of Leamington Spa's rich heritage while embracing the promise of innovation and progress.
Commenting after the meeting had concluded, James said: “Today's assembly encapsulates the essence of community empowerment and the way in which the Town, District and County Council will jointly deliver on this collective vision. It's inspiring to see residents, councils, and local organisations come together with a shared commitment to shaping the future of our beloved town centre. As we embark on this transformative journey, I am excited to hear more about the Transformation plans from LDA Design so that we can build a brighter, more inclusive Leamington Spa for all.”
